Beanstalk Astronaut Camp is a week full of interactive activities focused on outer space and space travel! Learn about our planets, participate in STEM classes about the cosmos, go on a space adventure, and talk to a real person from NASA!

On Demand Classes

Calling all astronauts! Let's get ready for takeoff and create a balloon-powered rocket to transport our cargo.

Child-safe scissors

Straw or paper

String (5+ feet)

2 chairs or a door knob

Come create a unique space helmet that you can wear on all of your astronaut adventures!

Big box or paper bag

Child-safe scissors

Construction Paper

Glue or tape

Coloring supplies

Aluminum foil

Decorations (stickers, glitter, pipe cleaners)

Did you know that our bodies float in space? Let's learn how our bodies move when there is no gravity to hold us to the Earth and have fun practicing some of the exercises astronauts use to stay fit in their space ship!

Couch or couch cushions

What if we could soar from one planet to another in our solar system? Let's use our favorite colors to guide us as we jump, fly, and dance amongst the stars to tour the bright planets in our universe.

Planet printouts from your Asrronaut Camp Packing List (print in color) or colorful construction paper

What makes a rocket? Let's use our imaginations and things we can find around the house to build our launch vehicle and lunar lander!

Big box or laundry basket

Use your imagination and various household items to help Mr. Josh build our launch vehicle and lunar lander (hose, goggles, Space Helmet, creative add-ons to your box or basket)

What do we do on a deserted planet? Let's build our own Martian environments in preparation for a red hot mission!

Use your imagination to gather various household items to make your habitat (big box, couch cushions, blankets)

Come discover new planets where we could live as we meet a real astronomer and ask him our extraterrestrial questions!

No materials needed!

How can we safely land a rocket ship or rover on a new planet? Let's build a landing vehicle to protect all of the things inside with a cool experiment!

3 eggs

Tarp or garbage bag

Plastic bags

Kitchen towels or rags
