Let’s celebrate Hanukkah in a special way by creating some crafty candles!
Not your average craft class! Thinkertales crafts are always something our children can either wear, play with, or throw in the air! Plus, we use recyclable materials that you definitely have lying around... and we're glue-free and paint-free.
We’ll read stories that will anchor our students in the theme of the day and getting them ready to focus on creating! We always leave time and space for student innovation, intervention, and play. Our kids always leave this class laughing!
Set yourself up for success by giving your child a workspace and some space to play. Please bring suggested materials to class. Parent participation most likely required to assist with cutting, taping, and operating the unmute button. (Our 2s and 3s will definitely need some in-person guidance, our independent 4’s do well with passive help.)
This class is an introduction of everyday and familiar materials into the creative space. We use things like paper towels, paper plates, and tin foil to provide new textures and tactile experiences that are new and exciting for children. Each Crafty Class allow children to utilize their language, motor, memory, and cognitive skills as we create and play in real time, helping them learn through creative play. Our topics, stories, activities, and songs are there to help keep the focus, encourage them, and promote learning, while our crafts present new challenges, an introduction to team work, and an opportunity to exercise patience. They also receive the most exciting reward: once completed, they have a craft they can use!
